    Marine Electronics/Electrical Apprentice

    We are looking for an amazing apprentice for our electronics and electrical departments. The apprentice will maintain the shop organized and clean, repair equipment at the shop, and assist technicians on board yachts.

    This position is an entry point to the yachting industry and offers a tremendous growth opportunity for an individual willing to learn from the most dedicated technicians in the industry.

    Job requirements include but are not limited to:

    • A desire to learn and grow 
    • Experience with hand tools
    • Some electrical or electronic knowledge
    • Comfortable with computers

    • Impeccable work ethic

    Here is what we are looking for:

    • The desire and enthusiasm to work on some of the most beautiful yachts in the country.
    • Experience with complex yacht systems - programming, installation, troubleshooting
    • Marine Certified with 3+ years experience on Yachts in one the following fields: Marine Electrical, Electronic, Communication, Audio Visual Installation and Troubleshooting
    • ABYC or NMEA Certified is required
    • Electronics/Electrical Bachelor with excellent GPA (in progress is fine, if well advanced)

    Previous experience is required, as is fluent written and spoken English. Hablas Espanol? Parli italiano? Even better!

    Automation (Monitoring and Control) Technician

    Summer has begun, and it’s never been a better time to join our team! We need your help to meet the demands of the flourishing yachting industry. We are looking for HIGHLY motivated team players for our Automation, Monitoring & Control, Navigation Electronic department.

    This position is ideal for a mid-level industrial automation technician with a lot of drive and desire to transition to the yachting industry. The desire to learn and grow is one of our core values. We can teach you the specifics of this trade, providing you with continuous training, mentoring, and support. 

    Job requirements include but are not limited to:

    • Experience with industrial automation (Wago, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, ABB.) programming, installation, and troubleshooting
    • Experience with industrial control panel design and wiring

    Relevant additional experience:

    • Experience with low voltage control systems (e.g., RTI, Crestron, Alarm Panels, Lutron, Control 4, RTI .). Programming, installation, and troubleshooting.
    • IOT/Micro controller hobbyist. Building, soldering, and programming.
    • A+ (A Plus) certification for PC service technicians or equivalent.

    Skills:

    • Must have good communication skills and the ability to implement instructions.
    • Must know how to use a multimeter and other basic electrical tools.
    • Must be able to learn new skills and give instructions to others.
    • Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced and growing environment.
    • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to read and understand technical documentation accurately.
    • Must be proficient with PC applications and basic knowledge of networking.
    • Must be able to work inside and outside, on docked boats or boats on land.
    • Must be able to work overtime during busy seasons.
    • Must be able to travel if needed.

    Pay is commensurate with skills and experience.

    Electronics soldering, product fabrication and assembly

    Fort Lauderdale

    This position will be mainly responsible for hand assembly and soldering SMD and thru-hole circuit boards and products as well as performing quality control steps. You will be working directly under the supervision of experienced engineers. We do prototyping so any 3D or IOT electronics experience is welcomed but not required. Opportunity to be trained will be available to the right candidate.

    Duties:

    • Assembly of surface mount electronic boards, cables, etc.
    • Assembly of complete products with the boards previously manufactured
    • Testing following a QC
    • Troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits
    • Keeping components and parts inventory

    Qualifications:

    • Surface mount soldering
    • Basic Electronics knowledge
    • Assemble multiple components using various fasteners and techniques
    • Must be able to work with small components and demonstrate good hand dexterity
    • Ability to read drawings and/or follow work instructions
    • Ability to assemble small mechanical and electrical components
    • Ability to accept and follow supervisor orders.
    • Ability to follow directions without deviating.
    • Attention to details
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

    Other skills:

    • 3D printer and CNC machine operation knowledge is a plus.
    • Knowledge of IOT, hardware, and software is a plus.
